Welcome to MASK FAQ

How well do homemade mask materials filter compared against the N95 standard?

MASKFAQ tested 100’s of media/materials and posted results, using the NIOSH certification standards.

All material testing was conducted by senior engineers at TSI Inc.

The TSI 8130a is the instrument that certifies the N95 respirators and provides the most consistent and accurate test results available for both filtration and resistance. The information we are providing is based on research and is updated when new data surfaces.
